Microsoft Certifications

It is important to understand the Microsoft Certification schemes when choosing your consultancy provider.

Microsoft certify software products and people - not simply companies. In order to retain the Microsoft Certified Partner status for 2003 a company must meet one of these two criteria:

• have produced a 'Certified for Windows 2000' or 'Certified for Windows XP' software product.
• have at least 2 Microsoft Certified Professionals on the staff. With the advent of Windows 2000 and Windows XP those staff that are Microsoft Certified Trainers must be qualified on the newest Windows 2000 operating systems to retain qualification. Our Technical Director is one of the few Microsoft Certified System Engineers / Microsoft Certified Trainers in the UK to have been awarded the 'Early Achiever' accreditation on Windows 2000.

You should be aware that 'Microsoft Certified Solution Provider' is an obsolete accrediation and companies displaying that accreditation (and logo) have not met Microsofts' technical skills requirements since Dec 2000.
