SNAP Server

The SnapServer range of Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices are a simple 'plug-in and use' solution to giving your office shared hard disk space. Instead of deploying a full featured Windows server, which you would require for email & database services, a NAS device supplies the network with a common drive (S:) on which all users can save and edit files.

The SnapServer range are also supplied with the PowerQuest DataKeeper software package, allowing users to backup their workstations to the SnapServer storage.

The SnapServer range covers a wide scope of storage requirements:

Snap Server 1100 for 2 - 10 users

The Snap Server® 1100/120 GB and the Snap Server 1100/80 GB both install in minutes, automatically recognize and support all major network clients and platforms, and require very little administration or support. In addition, the compact size of both units make them great portable servers. Their low cost, versatile size and remote management via a Web browser also make them ideal for special uses: remote office storage that can be remotely managed over the Web (for satellite offices with little or no IT support) or storing drive/desktop images for fast, easy software distribution over the network.

Benefits:
120 GB or 80 GB of Network Attached Storage (NAS).
Five minute installation.
Compact, portable easily fits in a briefcase, on a shelf or on a tabletop.
Automatically recognizes and supports all major network platforms (Windows, NetWare, Macintosh, Unix and Linux).
100Base-TX/10Base-T Ethernet connectivity.
SNMP support for centralized management (can also be managed remotely via Web browser).
Very low total cost of ownership (TCO).

Snap Server 2200 for 10 - 50 users

This product is so simple, you will have 240GB of storage up and running on your network in just five minutes. And once installed, you can pretty much forget about it because it is so reliable. Compare that to a conventional Win2000/NT server, which requires continuous maintenance and support. The Snap Server® 2200 is also a fraction of the cost of a comparable Win2000/NT server. So whether you just need to add a single unit in your small, growing company—or dozens in multiple workgroups for your extended enterprise—you will save a significant amount of time and money.
